Diepslot Pit Toilets

Project details

The area has dry toilets filled with raw sewage with no running water. These toilets are meant to be pumped out by the local council which is very difficult as the sewage is solid waste. The sewage smell was extremely bad with many flies around these toilets.

We were confident that the Baczyme sewage products would digest the solid sewage matter.

The dry toilets were dosed with sewage powder over a 3 week period and after 2 weeks the Baczyme had digested the sewage turning it into grey water and CO2.
The smell and flies also disappeared.

BEFORE

Our contact for the 5 Day Care Schools (Maureen) identified 5 day care schools ,where we could test Baczyme sewage powder.All the dry pit toilets were full and were waiting to be pumped by the council.It is very difficult to pump solid waste hence our experiment to digest the solid waste into grey water and CO2,using the Baczyme sewage powder.

AFTER

We dosed each pit toilet, weekly, with 100 grams of Baczyme sewage powder and after 2 weeks we had this result. There was no smell or flies around each toilet.
